No active storm event.

When a named storm threatens Florida policyholders, this page becomes the operational center for Skyway claims. Event status, reporting channels, and storm protocol live here.

Report storm damage.

Same three channels, storm or no storm. All of them reach the Sedgwick intake team handling Skyway claims.

What a declared event activates.

  • Phone lines stay open.

727-746-9896 stays live through the event, not just during business hours.

  • After-hours adjusters staffed.

Sedgwick brings surge capacity online when an event is declared.

  • Status posts here.

This page carries the event name, the declaration date, and what is activated.

  • Underwriting data speeds the loss work.

The building-level analysis from underwriting informs the loss evaluation, so adjusters start with the file, not from zero.

Before the storm.

  • Photograph the property inside and out, including the roof if you have recent drone or inspection shots.
  • Save your policy number and this page somewhere you can reach without power.
  • Stage tarps, plywood, and fasteners for temporary repairs.
  • Move vehicles and ground-floor contents above likely water lines.

After the storm.

  • Safety first. Stay clear of downed lines, standing water, and structural damage.
  • Photograph damage before any cleanup.
  • Make reasonable temporary repairs to prevent further damage, and keep every receipt.
  • Report the claim as soon as you can. Earlier reports get adjusters on site sooner.

Track the storm itself at the National Hurricane Center.

NHC is the authoritative source for forecasts and warnings. This page covers what the storm means for your Skyway policy.
